Mississippi School of the Arts invites guests to use public facilities available for rental. The campus space has been the used for wedding events, professional meetings, and special occasions.

Guests should be aware that Mississippi School of the Arts is a public, residential high school campus, and also listed on the National Register of Historic Places. School functions take priority over any event scheduled by guests.

State Board Policy

Mary Jane Lampton Auditorium is governed by Mississippi State Board of Education policy and law. The use of this facility is under strict guidelines and must be adhered to at all times.

What Spaces are Available?

Mississippi School of the Arts allows a few different spaces for particular events. Some of the spaces are available only during limited times.

  • Mary Jane Lampton Auditorium
  • Elizabeth Cottage (First floor living area)
  • Enochs Hall (First floor gallery; Second floor black box)

To find out if a space is available for public rental, please contact our offices at 601-823-1300. We will check our calendars to see if your date is available.

  • Pricing is determined based on specific needs.
  • Facility rental is based on a first-come, first-serve basis. 

The Mississippi Department of Education does not permit the practice of discrimination in granting permission for use of its facilities by any organization or group which excludes persons from participation because of race, color, sex, creed, national origin, or disability. Applicants for the use of school facilities must agree not to engage in or permit such discrimination while using school property.

 

A tabled space is shown set up in Mary Jane Lampton Auditorium for a regional curriculum training. Teachers from all over southwest Mississippi were invited to the event hosted by the Mississippi Department of Education.
