We want to thank you for your patience as we have taken time to consider appropriate actions to ensure the safety of our employees and students in light of the ever changing events in our nation. We have been in communication with the Mississippi Department of Education (MDE), and health care professionals to learn as much as possible about impact of the Coronavirus.

The MSA students will not move back into the residence halls Sunday. Instead, classes will continue Tuesday, March 17 through Friday, March 20 via distance learning on Moodle. Our faculty will work on Monday to prepare to accommodate individual students as needed. Teachers will send information to students on Tuesday regarding expectations for the week and assignments.

Because we want to make sure ALL students are able to complete class requirements, students need to submit answers to a few questions using a link sent to them by email today. All students need to check their school email.

Our intent is for students to return to campus Sunday, March 22 to continue classes in person the following day. We will use this week to continue sanitizing common areas to ensure a clean and safe living/learning environment. Please use this week to stay at home and refrain from unnecessary travel or gatherings.

Employees or students who feel they need to be self-quarantined based on guidance from the CDC https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html should remain at home for an additional seven days and return March 29. We will continue to monitor events and consult with health professionals and MDE. If the Government issues further directives, we will adjust our plan accordingly.
