Mississippi School of the Arts faculty and staff recently participated in Cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification/recertification (CPR). Most campus members are now certified to provide trained assistance in the event of a cardiac or choking emergency. Not only was adult CPR instructed to staff, but toddler training as well. “Even though you don’t have toddlers at MSA, you never know when you may need the training”, said John Brinson, Certified CPR Instructor onsite. The event was coordinated by school nurse, Robin Brinson RN.
CPR instruction is provided by the American Heart Association.
