Standardized Test Administration
Mississippi School of the Arts participates in the Subject Area Testing Program, as well as the mandated ACT exam. Students must meet certain criteria in order to graduate from any public school in Mississippi, including MSA. The District Test Coordinator at MSA is responsible for the dissemination of testing information, implementation of protocols, and review of student data.
Although most students at MSA have already taken the Algebra, English, and Biology exams, some students will either be first-time testers or re-testers from their home school district.
Mississippi School of the Arts is required by law to follow procedures set forth by the Mississippi Department of Education in regards to test security. Staff and faculty members must attend required test security training prior to test administration. All visitors on campus are subject to the rules and regulations set forth by MSA during test administration.
