Michael Roy, a 2005 graduate of the Visual Arts program at Mississippi School of the Arts, was recently welcomed back to campus to paint a large mural on the bridge walkway of the Student Life Center. Michael travels the country and world to showcase his artistic talent using spray paint and irregular lines of symmetry, inspiring many followers on his social media feeds. Michael is no stranger to this wall space. In 2017, the Mississippi School of the Arts Foundation and the Brookhaven Trust both hosted Michael Roy as a guest artist in residence. Roy painted the first-ever mural on MSA’s campus.

“It just feels surreal to be back on this campus,” he said. Michael’s work can be found on Instagram @birdcap
