Imani Skipwith, a senior Literary Arts major, as well as Azya Lyons, a junior, were both invited to attend the Eudora Welty Writers’ Symposium on October 11th, 2019, at the Mississippi University for Women (MUW). Both students were honored in the Ephemera Prize for their poetry work: “Mama Mississippi” by Skipwith and “Why I Live at the P.O.” by Lyons. Both works will be added to a literary journal.
