Mississippi School of the Arts recently hosted Experience MSA Day on its campus. Experience MSA is a day set aside to showcase the school with art shows, teacher talks and school tours. On December 3rd, potential students and parents from all over Mississippi traveled to Brookhaven to be a part of the activities on campus. Despite the torrential rain, Experience MSA Day garnered an auditorium full of people. Showcases overflowed as visitors wanted to see what MSA was all about, as they were hearing.
Each art department provided a sample. Visual Arts hosted a gallery of work, as well as a live painting session. Vocal Music sung for the audience in Lampton Auditorium, Theatre performed a few short plays, Media Arts showed a short film and talked about MSA’s newest program, Literary Arts seniors read pieces of their work, and Dance performed specific works of choreography.
